The world premiere of the new SUV will take place before the end of autumn. According to unofficial data, the premium model will be based on the American version of the Honda HR-V.
The appearance of an "entry-level" SUV in its range was announced by Honda's premium brand Acura back in April. At the same time, the name of the upcoming SUV was announced - ADX. And now the first teasers have been published. In addition, the American division of the brand clarified the debut dates: the model, which will be one step below the Acura RDX, will be presented this fall. However, the start of sales of the Acura ADX in the States is scheduled for next year.
The company pictures show the stern and interior fragments. Judging by the teasers, the Acura ADX will get taillights with LED bends, like the Acura MDX and ZDX, a fairly large spoiler, a panoramic sunroof and white and blue leather upholstery. It was also announced that the list of equipment will include seat ventilation and a Bang & Olufsen audio system. Finally, the company said that the SUV will have a turbo engine. And these are all the official details for now.
Local specialized media believe that the Acura ADX will be based on the American version of the Honda HR-V (in other markets, this crossover is presented under the name Honda ZR-V). At the same time, the ADX is predicted to have a 1.5 turbo four with a capacity of about 190-200 hp, while the HR-V in the USA is currently available exclusively with a naturally aspirated 2.0, which produces 160 hp. The length of the Honda crossover intended for the States is 4567 mm, the wheelbase is 2654 mm. For comparison, the Acura RDX, which still “opens” the brand’s SUV lineup, is 4760 and 2751 mm, respectively.
