Vistiq will become an electric alternative to the gasoline family crossover Cadillac XT6. The full premiere of the Cadillac Vistiq is expected next year, while it is not yet known when exactly it will enter the market.
All electric Cadillacs are built on different versions of the modular platform Ultium, but only the Lyriq, which debuted earlier than all, is on sale now, the rest of the new products are only in the project, their production has not yet begun.
About the Vistiq crossover, at the moment, all that is known is that it will take a place in the Cadillac model range between the 5-seater Lyriq and the flagship Escalade IQ.
The fact is that in recent months, General Motors, like Ford, has sharply downgraded its expectations for the electric vehicle market and has begun to postpone the launch of new products, as well as the production of components for these new products. Against this background, it may seem strange that the Cadillac brand has already announced its third electric new product this year. Perhaps GM is announcing them with an eye on Cadillac's main market — China. Cadillac's positions in China are still stable: in the first three quarters of this year, the American brand sold 133,063 cars there against 110,836 in the United States, but Cadillac desperately needs electric models to compete with young Chinese premium brands.
