Ottawa to review winter road and sidewalk salt use.

The Environment and Climate Change Committee has approved a motion from Councillor Rawlson King to conduct an "in-depth review of Ottawa's road salt use," with a particular focus on its impact on the environment and local waterways due to its chloride content.
