With enrollment falling and a multi-million dollar budget deficit, Ottawa's largest school board, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), is considering cutting teaching and non-teaching staff positions next school year.
A report presented at the OCDSB meeting on Tuesday includes a proposal to cut 178 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions, both academic and non-academic.
The cuts are expected to save $15.9 million.
