The black box from Delta Endeavor Flight 4819, which crashed while landing at Toronto Pearson Airport on February 17, has been recovered and sent for analysis.
✈ There were 76 passengers and four crew members on board, including 22 Canadian citizens. Most escaped serious injuries, but 21 people were injured, two of whom remain in hospital.
🔹 Causes of the accident
During landing, the plane hit the runway hard, after which it flipped over and caught fire. The passengers, who were wearing seatbelts, were hanging upside down for some time. The crew quickly organized an evacuation.
Were weather conditions a factor?
Over the weekend, 50 cm of snow fell in Toronto, but, according to the airport, the runway was dry at the time of landing. However, the pilots were warned of possible turbulence due to the aircraft approaching them.
