US President Donald Trump has announced the possibility of introducing 25% tariffs on Canadian goods from February 1. According to him, this decision is related to the problems of migration and fentanyl, which he accused Canada of spreading. Trump emphasized that such measures are aimed at combating the illegal flow of people and drugs.

Canada has already prepared countermeasures. In the event of high tariffs, the possibility of introducing counter-tariffs in the amount of $37 billion is being considered.
