The updated electric cross-hatchback Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be the first model to hit the assembly line at the brand new Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) plant in the US state of Georgia.
In addition, tied to the North American market, the Ioniq 5 has acquired an off-road version XRT with increased ground clearance and protective plastic decor with a pixel texture.
Distinctive features of the XRT version are ground clearance increased by 23 mm to 178 mm, all-terrain tires of size 235/60 R 18, protective plastic body kit and unpainted bumpers with a pixel texture, wheel disks with holes in the form of pixels, black mirror housings and a black spoiler on the tailgate, red towing eyes in the front bumper, exclusive body colors, all-weather mats in the interior, black headlining and seat upholstery with XRT embossing on the backs.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT will be offered only with a dual-motor powertrain (maximum combined output is 325 hp and 605 Nm) and a battery with a capacity of 84 kWh, a full charge of which will be enough for about 400 km of travel according to the EPA methodology - the exact value will be known after certification.
