Despite the expressed commitment to electric vehicles, the company still decided to postpone the release of the completely “green” liftback Volkswagen ID.7 on the North American market. It was expected that this five-door would replace the retired Passat in 2024. So far, a new date for the appearance of the ID.7 in the model lines in the USA and Canada has not been named.

The Ford Capri is based on the Volkswagen modular MEB platform (like the above-mentioned relatives). Its overall length is 4634 mm (166 mm more than the European Explorer), width - 1872 mm, height - 1626 mm. The trunk volume is 572 liters (under the curtain), the maximum volume of cargo space is 1510 liters. The top all-wheel drive version has a dual-motor installation, the total output is 340 hp.
