The three-row Jeep range has been expanded with a 2.0 Hurricane family petrol turbocharged four-cylinder. Along with the new engine, the model also received a Blackhawk version with extended black trim.
The main update is the 2.0 Hurricane family petrol turbocharged four-cylinder, which produces 272 hp and 400 Nm. The Ram Rampage pickup truck is equipped with the same engine, and it has recently been installed on the local Jeep Compass. The Jeep Commander with this turbocharged engine has a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. In addition, the new modification has a reconfigured suspension. It has been announced that the three-row crossover with a 2.0 Hurricane will reach the first “hundred” in 7 seconds, the maximum speed is 220 km/h.
As before, Brazilians can also buy the Jeep Commander with a 1.3 T270 Flex bi-fuel turbocharged four-cylinder engine (petrol/ethanol – 180/185 hp, 270 Nm) in combination with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 2.0 Multijet II turbodiesel, which works in tandem with a 9-speed automatic transmission. In the first case, the crossover is strictly front-wheel drive, in the second – all-wheel drive. With the 1.3 engine, the Commander accelerates to 100 km/h in 10.4 or 9.5 s (petrol/ethanol), the maximum speed is 200 or 202 km/h. The figures for the diesel crossover are 11.6 s and 197 km/h.
The crossover with the new engine is offered in two of the most luxurious trim levels – Overland and the new Blackhawk. The latest features are black exterior trim instead of chrome and red brake calipers. Another innovation for the Commander-2025 is that the base version is now a five-seater, with the third row of seats made optional.
