Two missing crew members of a Royal Canadian Air Force Chinook helicopter that crashed into the Ottawa River have died. A Chinook helicopter was carrying four members of the 450th Tactical Helicopter Squadron on a training mission when it plunged into the water near Black Bear Beach shortly after midnight on Tuesday. Two other crew members were taken to a hospital in Pembroke with non-life threatening injuries.
