Ottawa's City Planning and Housing Policy Committee has approved the rezoning of an 11-storey office building in Kanata.

The project would create a mixed-use development with offices and 115 residential units.

The building is located at 535 Leggett Dr. and is one of three identical office towers in Kanata Research Park.

The rezoning decision was made on May 21, and the recommendation now goes to city council on May 28.
